About
“Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.” — John F. Kennedy
Sometimes, an apartment just isn’t enough…
Residents in our low income housing communities are struggling with the terrifying uncertainty of poverty. They’re struggling with trauma histories, some from childhood, some from a history of homelessness. They’re struggling with the piles of paperwork they must do to access social programs. They’re struggling with the challenging and dangerous environment in their low income neighborhoods.
People know they need to make changes in their lives to be successful, but there is a lot to overcome. Just finding sustainable housing is a huge step in the right direction, but the journey is just starting.
The Rowdy Foundation was started in 2019 to help the residents of Ruby Hill Residences and The 4th Quarter, low income apartment buildings in Denver, to make their journeys to successful, sustainable, peaceful lives.
All the appropriate foundation names were taken, so the foundation is named after our favorite office dog, Rowdy.
Residents can join a Rowdy Pack at their building, including a Pup Pack for the younger residents. The Pack provides a supportive community, help with setting appropriate goals and objectives, access to resources, case management, and community activities.
Let’s be honest here, we’re a new non-profit, starting our own journey to provide services we believe in to people we believe in. We could use your help. Click below to learn about ways you can contribute.
